Amanda approaches therapy as something built together. Your identities, experiences, values, and goals help set the direction. As a queer, first-generation Chinese-Mexican American, she brings lived understanding of moving through intersecting identities and family systems.
Amanda approaches her work through an affirming, non-monogamous and polyamorous lens, integrating relational therapeutic approaches to help clients deepen connection, navigate conflict, and cultivate secure dynamics. Her practice welcomes couples, polycules, metamours, and all forms of romantic, platonic, and familial relationships (including parent-child and sibling dynamics). Her work combines person-centered, narrative, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and affirmation-based approaches with somatic and creative practices. She chooses what fits the person and the experience they bring.
